Beyoncé was the highest-grossing touring act of 2023 with $579.8 million from 2,776,855 tickets sold in 56 shows played as part of the Renaissance Tour, based on official reports. It’s the highest-grossing calendar-year in history, surpassing Bad Bunny‘s $435.2 million in 2022.
The tour peaked in East Rutherford, with the Jul. 29-30 performances at MetLife Stadium earning $16.541 million from 53,000 tickets sold each night. It’s the highest-grossing concerts by a female act in history, surpassing her own numbers at Soldier Field in Chicago, with $15.058 million each night on Jul. 22-23.
Coldplay (No. 2) earned a total of $393 million from 3,341,641 tickets sold in 58 shows played as part of the Music of the Spheres Tour. It’s the highest-grossing calendar-year by a band in history, surpassing their own $342.3 million in 2022. The band was the only act of the list with over 3 million tickets sold.
Bruce Springsteen (No. 3) earned a total of $365.9 million from 2,265,292 tickets sold in 63 shows played as part of the 2023-24 Tour, based on official reports and estimated numbers for dates that were not reported. He was the highest-grossing male artist of the year.
P!nk (No. 4) earned a total of $318.3 million from 2,041,103 tickets sold in 59 shows played as part of the Summer Carnival Tour and Trustfall Tour. She’s the fourth woman in history to gross over $300 million in a single calendar-year, joining Madonna, Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.
Morgan Wallen (No. 5) earned a total of $302 million from 1,526,482 tickets sold in 52 shows played as part of the One Night at a Time Tour. It’s the highest-grossing calendar-year by a Country artist in history. The tour peaked in Columbus, with the Aug. 12 performance at Ohio Stadium earning $13.926 million from 70,000 tickets.
Harry Styles (No. 6) earned a total of $278.6 million from 2,403,647 tickets sold in 49 shows played as part of the Love On Tour. The tour peaked in Dublin, with the Jun. 10 performance at Slane Castle earning $10.381 million from 83,000 tickets. Overall, the tour grossed $617.3 million from 5,023,682 tickets sold in 169 shows.
Ed Sheeran (No. 7) earned a total of $272.1 million from 2,633,388 tickets sold in 61 shows, including 36 as part of the Mathematics Tour and another 25 intimate concerts under the name Subtract. The tour peaked in Melbourne, with the Mar. 3-4 performances at Cricket Ground earning $10.436 million from 105,000 tickets each night.
BLACKPINK (No. 8) earned a total of $253.2 million from 1,448,804 tickets sold in 40 shows played as part of the Born Pink Tour. It’s the highest-grossing calendar-year by an Asian act and female group in history. Overall, the tour grossed $331.8 million from 1,815,183 tickets sold in 66 shows.
Depeche Mode (No. 9) earned a total of $240.9 million from 2,192,507 tickets sold in 78 shows played as part of the Memento Mori Tour. The tour peaked in Berlin, with the Jul. 7-9 performances at Olympiastadion earning $7.268 million from 71,000 tickets each night.
RBD (No. 10) earned a total of $231.7 million from 1,611,982 tickets sold in 54 shows played as part of the Soy Rebelde Tour. The tour peaked in Arlington, with the Sep. 30 performance at Globe Life Field earning $10.458 million from 38,000 tickets.
The top 50 highest-grossing artists of 2023 earned a total of $7.843 billion from 57.716 million tickets sold in 2,493 shows, up 28.11% in revenue and 5.88% in tickets sold from the 2022 Year End charts.
